Tax break for buying new home?

Wondering asked:
Apart from the interest payment deductions. Are there any other tax breaks for buying a home ? I bought a brand new home in 2007 and it has all the energy efficient appliances, can I claim deductions for that ? The builder put them in and was included in the price of the home, so can I claim that ?
